Accounting Coordinator

Summary of Job Function

The Accounting Coordinator is a positive, energetic, self-driven individual who helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supports financial planning and analysis, and assists in maintaining effective internal controls.

Essential Job Duties

  • General Ledger Management: Recording and reconciling transactions in the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and maintaining financial statements, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
  • Review all invoices for proper verification, coding, approvals, and overall accuracy.
  • Process, enter and post accounts payable.
  • Review and reconcile daily cash receipts to bank deposits.
  • Prepare, file and distributes year-end 1099 reports.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitoring and recording expenses, ensuring they are properly categorized and within budget.
  • Payroll Processing: Handling payroll functions, including calculating wages, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Report analysis: Using various software programs run weekly reports, for different service lines; analyze data for accuracy.
  • Special project work as requested; may include cross-functional interaction with various team members.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books Online.

  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Basic interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic negotiating skills
  • Comfortable working with technology and operating in a paperless office
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Work in a collaborative team environment as well as being self-motivated.
