As an Administrative Tax Operations Co-Op at LGA, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience in the world of public accounting, while becoming part of a supportive team that will guide you each step of the way.
During your time at LGA, you will:
- Work on Real Projects: Gain administrative exposure through organizing, tracking, and distributing tax documents and correspondence while ensuring timely processing.
- Develop Key Skills: Learn essential skills through administrative tasks such as distributing reports, client billing, engagement letters, client separations, setting up new clients, creating proposals, generating power of attorney forms, updating databases, and assisting with accounts receivable and tax operations-related projects.
- Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with experienced tax operations professionals who will mentor and support you as you grow your technical expertise.
- Become Part of the Team: Be fully integrated into our culture, attend firm events, and build meaningful relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Career Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions, receive performance feedback, and get the opportunity to explore various pathways within public accounting.
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Exudes intellectual curiosity, has strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Practices excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact and communicate confidently and concisely with various levels of firm management in both written and verbal form.
- Self-motivated and energic with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
- Produces high quality work which adheres to the proper internal workflow process.
- Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.
- Adept at utilizing various firm specific software as well as Adobe and Excel.
- Able to work on-site for 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
